The finished wine is beautiful, with complex fruit flavors including blueberry, blackberry and raspberry, and a deliciously silky texture.

Winemakers’ Notes

Grapes harvested from the Poor Ranch where wines were planted
in the 1880s on a hillside east of Hopland, in Mendocino County. The vineyard is dry-farmed and certified CCOF-Organic. The wine fermented to dryness in an open-top tank and then matured in neutral French oak barrels to allow the special character of the vineyard site to shine through.
